The Destination of Leavers from Higher Education Survey (commonly known as the DLHE) is carried out twice a year. Students are contacted approximately six months after graduation to be asked to fill in the DLHE for information on the work or training that individuals expect to be undertaking at a given census date. The Higher Education Statistical Agency (HESA) requires each University to collect this information on destinations so that national statistics can be compiled. Students are expected to update their address details in CamSIS, to confirm where they can be contacted after they leave. Students should also expect to provide their College with separate notification of their forwarding address.

Information for Students

Information for Colleges

The University has a statutory obligation to undertake the HESA Destination of Leavers from Higher Education Survey (DLHE). Students who are due to finish within an academic year, are asked to enter a "First Destination" address, 'phone and e-mail type via CamSIS self-service, by the Student Registry. This enables the University to contact students around six months after they leave, so that they can complete the survey.

However, by the time a student leaves, they may not have completed the information on CamSIS. Students are informed that we may contact them using data obtained from Colleges, if they do not provide the details themselves on-line. Therefore, the Student Registry will contact the Colleges at certain points in the year to collect this information.
