If you're due to start your course in 2018 you can send in evidence of your parents' pension contributions for the relevant tax year and we will work out if you're owed a bursary top up.

For academic year 2018-19 we need to see evidence of pension contributions made in tax year ending 5th April 2017.  This is the same year on which your SAAS assessment was made.

You should send in a copy of the P60 for each parent who made pension contributions or if they're self employed, a copy of their self assessment tax return.  If your parents do not have those or if there's different evidence they need to send, please contact us and we will assess whether what you can provide satisfies the need to evidence your claim.

We will acknowledge recipt of your evidence and let you know how long it will take to process any top up awarded.  Once the assessment has been done we'll let you know the outcome and how we calculated any award made.
