You may apply to change your course registration in exceptional circumstances. You may find it useful to discuss changing your course registration with your supervisor or college tutor.
When applying to change your course registration, you will need to complete a Financial Undertaking Form, which must be uploaded and attached to the application you will make via your CamSIS self-service.

If you are not self-funded, you will need to ask your sponsor to provide the Board of Graduate Studies with evidence that they are happy to provide for any additional costs that may arise because of your change of course.
If you are privately funded, you will need the person funding you to declare they are happy to provide for any additional costs.
Students on a Tier 4 visa
If you are a non-EEA national sponsored by the University under Tier 4, there may be visa implications if you change course registration. You are advised to contact the International Students Team to discuss this prior to making an application to change course.
Students who require ATAS (Academic Approval Technology Scheme) clearance
If you are a non-EEA national studying in the UK on any time-limited visa and your new course requires ATAS clearance, you will need to have obtained the ATAS clearance certificate prior to the change in course registration being approved and before starting your new course. You are advised to contact your departmental administrator to start this process alongside making the application to change your course registration.

You will need to include a completed Financial Undertaking Form with your application, by using the ‘Upload File’ option shown on the online application form.
